The People Behind Sim Nation
Steve Nero
Co-Founder
Hey everyone, I’m Steve Nero—most of you know me as Scuba. I’ve been part of the sim golf world since 2020, starting with an Optishot setup, a net, and a laptop. It was fun but not accurate enough, so after some research and budgeting, I upgraded to a SkyTrak, an impact screen, and GSPro software. At the time, GSPro had only 82 courses but was much more affordable than other options.
Through Discord, I discovered a thriving online sim golf community full of people just like me—playing daily, competing, and improving together. My online friends, now from all over the world, have become some of my closest real-life buddies. We even meet up yearly for outdoor golf trips, often knowing each other only by our gamer tags at first!
Now it's my turn to give back — helping others navigate the sim golf journey, whether you're setting up for a casual hangout or chasing serious game improvement.

I didn't grow up playing much golf, but I caught the bug in my mid-20s. It didn't take long before I was serious enough about the game to pass the PAT and enroll in the PGA Golf Management program. Over the years, I worked as an assistant golf professional at several different courses. Eventually, the long hours and grind started to wear on me, and I found myself losing the passion I once had for the game. I stepped away and, at the time, thought I was completely done working in the golf industry.
Then I stumbled into simulator golf almost by accident. After playing on a friend's simulator, I quickly found myself geeking out over the instant data, the quality of the experience, and the freedom to play whenever I wanted. That experience changed my perspective. It showed me how powerful and accessible the game could be with the right setup—but it also made it clear how confusing and overwhelming it can be to actually get started.
That's why we started this company: to simplify the process and help golfers build the right simulator for their space and budget.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How much space do I need?
We recommend at least 10' wide × 15' deep × 9' tall. Most garages and basements work. Not sure? Reach out and we'll help.
What's the difference between the Sim Packs?
Each tier upgrades the launch monitor, projector, and mat quality. Our comparison table breaks it all down side by side.
Do I need a PC?
Most launch monitors require one to run simulation software. Our Tour and Champions packs include a PC. If you're buying individual parts, we can recommend specs.
